Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-10-16T23:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-10-16T23:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible as a far-sided halo, primarily directed towards the northeast in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 imagery and northwest in STEREO A COR2. The source is likely far-sided as an opening of field lines is visible beyond the northeast limb starting around 2024-10-16T22:10Z in SDO AIA 171 and 193 imagery. The source may originate from former Active Region 13841, which was located around longitude -163 at the time of this event.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
